About Us

Leeside Table Tennis Club provides a place where professional, amateur, and recreational players can gather in a social and competitive environment and participate in the sport of table tennis. Our mission is to promote and grow an enthusiastic base of local table-tennis players and provide a common place to foster that growth.

Leeside Table Tennis ClubLeeside TT Club was set up in March 2012 (originally the club was based in Ballincollig Community School). Initially there were ten members, but very quickly word spread and there are now over 50 members.

Our Club Goals

  • Provide a place where pros, amateurs, and recreational players can gather in a social environment and participate in the sport of table tennis.
  • Grow an enthusiastic base of local table tennis players.
  • Extend recreational options for children in Cork and surrounding areas.
  • Host high quality (ITTA) sanctioned tournaments
  • Introduce the sport to a wider audience.

Club facilities and services

Leeside Table Tennis Club is open 4 days a week and gathers at The Sports Village Centre on Model Farm Road in Cork City.

Club Training Times

Monday              17:00 – 19:00 & 21:00 – 23:00

Tuesday              21:00  – 23:00

Wednesday        17:00 – 19:00 &20:00 – 22:00

Thursday                  18:00 – 20:00

Friday              18:00 – 20:00



Club training is done on the newly refurbished soft indoor floor with heating, spot lighting and changing facilities.We are using for training professional competition tables.

We are a ITTA affiliated club.  On average, we hold ITTA sanctioned tournaments .  Many different levels of players are invited to come and compete.  You can enroll or renew your ITTA membership in the club.  With your membership, you will be eligible to earn a ITTA rating, which allows you to see how you compare to other players throughout the Ireland.

Lessons are offered by our ITTA certified coach.  It doesn’t matter if you’re just starting out in the sport of table tennis or if you’ve been playing for years.  Having a coach is an excellent way to learn the sport from the ground up, or refine certain aspects of your game.  Reach out to us to discuss your specific needs.

Ben Haughton
Ben is our head coach. He has been coaching table tennis for 20 odd years. During this time 39 players he has coached have represented Ireland. Ben is a qualified ITTF and ITTA coach.

We cater for all ages, ethnicity and gender. Our youngest player is 4 our oldest is 95.
